The Electricity we use for Household purpose generally falls into 3 Categories:

1, Electronic Use
2, Fuse and Lighting
3, Electricity – Powered use for Climate Control

There are lots of Energy Efficient appliances/devices available in the Market to save Electricity for the  above mentioned categories but most of them are either Priced too high or takes too much time to  install.Even without using these appliances/devices it is still possible to save Energy.For beginners, the  best suggested advice to save Electricity is to solely focus on the biggest energy users in our houses  Refrigerators, Air Conditioners and Bulbs & Lighting fixtures.Given below are a few suggestions to reduce/ consumption of these items in your Households.

Refrigerator:

Try not to buy Frost Free Refrigerators as they consume more Electricity.

Only buy a Refrigerator ‘that fits your needs’

Do not place hot or warm inside the Refrigerator as it consumes more Energy.

Frequent opening of the Refrigerator doors does not save power by any means, hence avoid it.

Air Conditioner:

Do not place Lamps, Computers, Television sets or any other source of heat near the Air conditioning unit as it will extract more Power.

Always talk to your Local Appliance Technician to find the right Air Conditioner Product for you.

Make sure to set the Air Conditioner Thermostat at the right temperature.

Use the Air Conditioner only when required.

Lighting:

Make use of Natural Lighting whenever possible.

Always buy Fluorescent Bulbs as they consume very less energy, saves Power even if left ON for longer  durations.

Make sure that you turn off all the lights when leaving a room.

Try placing the Lamps and the Hanging Lamps in corners of the room as their reflections ‘off the walls’ shed you more light.
