Can I deduct my 2009 motor vehicle tax bill on my IRS filing? I don’t see that option on my tax software.?

During 08, I neglected to save a copy of my motor vehicle tax bill. Fortunately, I saved my bill from 09, but it doesn’t seem applicable. In the property tax section, only the real estate tax options are visible. I’m using TurboTax, if it matters. What’s the best way to file this towards my refund, if possible? I bought a used car in 2009, can I include the purchase tax towards any possible refund or does this only apply towards new energy conserving models?

The car SALES tax is for new vehicles only. Car PROPERTY tax goes on Line 8 of Schedue A (Other Taxes). See page A-6 of the instructions (link below).
