If I gave each of my liberal relatives $20 gift card for Xmas to help pay for Solar how much more do they need?

I think the best gift this year to the liberals relatives is a gift card to help them pay for the Solar panels. How much does one cost to run their home with solar energy? How many years if they gave them 20.00 a year from a Solar comp. in gift cards would it take for them to get that Solar Panel. Because they are buying video games , TVs, remodeling their homes etc. with their money now instead of “Saving the Planet” !
They think we are killing the planet! Global Warming! UT OH! Why are they rushing out buying Wind Turbines and Solar panels? I don’t get it? I know 3 or 4 relatives who bought new cars, one bought a Suburban and the other a Van.
I meant why are NOT buying them?

COSTCO had a big display with factory reps at the store. A solar system that would run my heating/cooling system is about $30,000 complete and installed. Tax credits can pay for about 1/2 over 5 years and the rest is up to you so I’d say another $14,980.
