Will I save more money with a tile or Comp shingle roof?

Im getting ready to have plans drawn for my house. I like the look of tile, but im afraid of the cost to install. I understand that they will last 50-100 years. While a comp shingle will last 10-30 years. Ive been told that tile is more Energy Efficient. My question is Will I have to spend more on construction costs for the walls and trusses to support the weight of the tile? If so, is there a way to calculate this? If the house is 2500 sq. ft.

Only the roof trusses need upgrading for tiles.. Go for tiles they are more reliable, less maintenance and look good
